The first post is always the awkward one and one where I usually fall back on a lame introduction to who I am. Needless to say, old habits die hard.
Hi, I'm Hati and I'm a 21 year old fashion student from Bristol. I'll be starting my 3rd year at UWE Bristol next month and I decided it was time to get a website. Self promotion is somewhere I have always fallen down. Nevertheless, my design hasn't failed me yet as I graduated my 2nd (and last) year of my Foundation Degree with a 1st (71%).
So, I guess I should talk about what I'm working on at the moment. As most of you will know, as a third year and fashion student, I have be laboured with a summer project. Don't get me wrong, laboured is not used in a negative sense as this is a labour of LOVE!
I put my soul into my creations and so this has been a exhilarating couple of months. I have decided to yet again focus my inspiration on things people avoid day to day because of their power in conversation. I like to touch on controversial topics such as religion, BDSM, Feminism, death, human dissection and a plethora of other things. This time I want to focus on the relationship between science and religion, with the history of angels' relationship with G-d thrown in.
At the moment I am working on my sketchbook and also pulling together my research on my target market for a presentation I will be giving to my peers later in the month.
I've been living in solitude, Vogue's September issue pressed firmly to my face with my iPhone clasped in my free hand so I can scan the internet for more culturally significant books I should be reading.
Oh, and I'm writing a book.
